Piss off, Karl

Claudia Schiffer as Frida Khalo?? Thanks, Karl, that's what we need. Another white chick portraying a woman of ethnic decent. It's worse than Madonna as Evita. Not even going to post the rest of them, as they're horribly disgusting. A has-been model sitting in for one of the greatest women ever born. Thanks.

white people

I'm totally la-la-loving the idea of the ombre color thing that is going on in hair fashion (or has been, for a few months now), but I have yet to see a person of color (or with a bit of color, at least) rock it. White people, you are so lucky. You get to wear EVERYTHING when it comes to beauty! It's a little harder for us brown babies, since we aren't as good of a canvas for certain colors. I've been thinking of trying this shit out, with blue or green, but am a bit apprehensive.

Does anyone have pics of someone other than a white person pulling this off? I would like to see what it looks like. And no, I'm not hating on you, white babies, so don't send me hate emails. I'm just saying.

one size does not fit all

I'm sure you've all read about and seen the images of the new V issue, the "size" issue. But we may not all agree on is whether or not the magazine did Crystal Renn any justice or whether it actually succeeded in trying to say that size doesn't matter. Sure, featuring her in this spread is a step forward in the right directions, but as Jezebel points out, why the comparison to a "true size" model? If this issue was truly about how the difference between the two girl's sizes isn't an issue, then making them pose side by side, as if comparing the two, defeats the purpose. So, here is the spread one more time, just in case you really didn't see it, but I only posted Crystals pics, because well....she's the only reason I would care to see this anyway. Enjoy and discuss.

Last Night

So, last night, I go out with Jen and Jackie to a New Kids on the Block dance party. I leave my house in a mini skirt, new shoes, and a cut-off Megadeath shirt (that belonged to Josh, relax). I go over to Jen's house, to pick her up, and she's in a grey cut-off tank top, big sexy hair and tight jeans. Then, we head over to Jackie's and she's also in a cut-off t-shirt, tight jeans and blue pumps.

WTF.

We look like a female version of Ratt, but way cuter.

Some pictures, to help you with a visual:

Anyway! We all thought it was pretty funny. I didn't take pics, cuz I left early so my ass could get to work this morning (7:30 is not pretty). But I was thinking....god, the 90's are freaking back. We will be in the 2000's pretty soon! I feel like we are moving too fast with fashion and I kinda wanna go back to the 60's again. I mean, yeah, we briefly visited it a few times, but I feel like fashion is a little too ADD. Let's stick to a generation and fully explore every single trend. Let's expand, no?
Well, whatever. 90's or no 90's we looked pretty hot.

that would be awesome

Wouldn't it be great to be able to hang your own portrait on your wall? No, too tacky? Not if that shit looked like this:

AWESOME

These bloggers must be tickled.

ALSO, lace lace lace lace and some lace. Get your lace on for this fall/winter. Trust.

So, the ever popular Agyness has finally gotten rid of that hair cut. Does this mean her modeling career will plateau? And I'm not sure how I feel on the matchy matchy outfits. Sometimes Josh and I do it, unknowingly until it's too late and we're walking out the door, but it makes me feel all cute inside. Cute? Not cute?

Beat Kids! Beat Kids! Kids on the street, Kids on the beat! Beat Kids! BEAT KIDS!

So, check out the flyer. I'm excited, I think.

I'm not saying this is going to be like a dance battle galactica, but why do I feel like this might turn out to be a popularity contest? Wasn't Junior High horrible enough to never revisit?

Ahhhh! But yeah, I'm still excited to be a part of this and hopefully can help josh out on this one (I'm not really a DJ nor have the greatest music taste, so say a few haters). I'm saying Fuck It and want to play music that I would want to listen to while drunk and having a good time with my friends. And I think Josh wants the same thing. So, if you wanna come out, drink sparks, have a great time, and listen to some (cross your fingers) jams, please come out and be a part of something awesome to do on a Thursday night.
