Bleh

So sorry for the lack of unique inspiration lately. I had a really fun week celebrating my birfday and I've been a little out of it. I went out Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, went home Saturday and Sunday. Finally back into the swing of things. I got some pretty good birthday loot, too. I gots me some polaroid film, B&BW gift certificate, blunts, joints, drinks, vintage picture frames, a Starbucks card, the new Air & Beck CDs, an old ass Electralane CD, these shoes (!), an owl ring... sigh. Yeah, I cashed in. Thanks again to everyone.

Anyway, check out these cheeky photos by Will Saunders. Pretty cute.

And how gorgeous are Pandora and Susie Bubble? Gorgeous enough for Face Hunter, that's for sure.

And Then Some

Okay, three things:

1. Thank you Thank you Thank you to everyone who came out on Tuesday and participated in my silliness. I apologize if I was tooo silly, but hey, it was my birfday eve.

A special thanks to Ashlie, Jen, Dano and Fubar for pitching in on my expensive ass taxi ride home.

Another special thanks to Mel for coming out sober, to Jackie for coming straight from a long day at work, and to Josh, for coming out in general. Thanks baby.

2. Who doesn't love Cory? If used to hate seeing her everywhere, but then I realized that I was totally envious. Young girl, cute as well, awesome clothes....who got famous for just that.

Well, check out her model debut on her page HERE.

And 3. Straight from the horses mouth (that being Fashionista's mouth), Sonic Youth is jumping on the design band wagon! Yeeeup. Take a look at their "Hardy Jacket" their only piece so far on their Mirror/Dash website.

"Chunky" Knits

Like so many, every winter I get a little "chunky" and have to work extra hard to keep it off. Hotdogs on a Friday night don't help the fight, but damn, are they delicious! More pics of a fun Friday at Take Over Tokyo.

Staying at home being lazy doesn't help the figure either. But hopefully I'll be making this soon.

I don't remember who I stole this pic from, sorry.

For You, Chelsea

My gorgeous friend sent me a link to the pic below. And the scarf on the left was the object of desire.....

Doesn't this pic from Face Hunter totally remind you of it?
PS: today is the first day of Fall!!!!

For My Birfday

Josh is taking me out with all our rowdy friends for drinks in the city. Uh...yeah.....can someone say "trouble"?

Really Though?

Dude, seriously? Not bad, Forever21, Not bad.

And can my hair grow a little faster so it can finally look like the foxy lady on the left? Or what?

In the Middle with You

Good morning ladies.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for Fall, since I didn't get to do all that I wanted this Summer, but when I see pics of lovelies in scarves, stockings and sweaters, well... then, I'm totally for it.

And then there's me. Baaaad picture. Well, the picture's not bad, I just look bad in it. I made this scarfie scarf the other day. It's what many call an "infinity" scarf. It's a giant loop that wraps around twice. It can be worn loose, or all tight and warm, by using the button. What do you think?

Layer that Shit on Ladies!

Good morning!
It's that time of year, when the nights start to get a little chillier and you get to cuddle that much more.
When hot tubs come to life and hot chocolate is welcomed again.
Yep, it's the middle of September, and in exactly one week, the beginning of Autumn is officially here.
Autumn, how I love you.

Weekend inspirations

Good morning,

Well, it's second Saturday this weekend, and I still don't have pics of the new hats, scarves and headbands for you. I guess it doesn't really matter, since Sacramento doesn't really read this blog and I only have stuff to sell at Cuffs. But still! I wanted to eventually open an etsy spot up for those of you from afar. Soon, I hope. Anwho, these two pics will hopefully inspire me outfit-wise and well as creatively.

Photo by Face Hunter: I totally have a dress similar to this (actually, I think it's a tunic, but I'm hella short) that I got from F21. Add a crazy bow and Presto! I can be Hunter worthy too. Hopefully.

Photo totally stolen from Sally Jane Vintage. See that bottom left pic? (click to enlarge) Well, I have been wanting to make something similar to that necklace, but in crochet form. Look for that soon!

WTF, Wang?

Okay, for those of you who saw this post with no text, terribly sorry. I was so tired last night I could not even finish this. Speaking of last night, who else thought the MTV awards sucked ass? Britney's peps bought that show out. The only good thing was Russel Brand bagging on commitment rings.

Anywho, I'm not always a fan of Spring fashions, since I'm mostly a fall/winter kinda gal. Regardless, I went looking to see the latest and greatest. I was not surprised to be disappointed, but, damn, Alexander sucked balls.

Really though? Really? This is what you want us to wear? Not even the model looks good.

This shit looks like a crack head came out of the gym.

This is bad bad bad. Eighties bad. It looks like nothing fits the way it's supposed to.

Okay, I totally didn't want to hate on this dude, so I posted what I felt were the best from the show.

I like the tank top and pants. I can do without the Phelps head thingie though.

These next two outfits were the only outfits that looked put together. God, I hope there's something that knocks my socks off for Spring. Tomorrow, I'll post Boy from Band of Outsiders. Or maybe tonight, who knows. My sister has a laptop, so I can actually get more stuff done as I cook/eat/watch Bronson/etc. Besides, Kirsten Dunst looks really cute.

Style Bytes

Hallo everyone,

Sorry for that lack of posts, but I've been very very busy lately. I've also been bummed out about a few things. I can't really post my new finds, new hats, feather headbands, outfits, nada. I still have not bought a new camera and I don't really like my sisters.

I was also bummed out about Project Runway. Did anyone else think Joe should have gone home?? I was actually really liking Stella too.

Lastly, politics is a little bit of a priority right now (and trust, some of it is a bummer too), as the conventions are coming to a close.

Anywho, a bit of good news. Remember miss Agathe? Well, get your fix HERE (thanks Ariel! check out her blog, Silk and Leather). It's not Style Bytes, but it's something. Enjoy your weekend everyone, hopefully I'll have something good for you soon.

The Artificial Marketplace

A good friend of mine, Jared Vee, opened a "vintage retro" store in New Bedford, Massachusetts.  This store is so hot!  I am extremely jealous that I live on the other side of the country and cannot buy everything from there to decorate my new house!  Grrrrr.

Mr. Vee, I miss you and am so proud of you and your lady!  Can't wait to come visit.

The Artificial Marketplace

Cutest window displays!

I love this whole set up.

I want all of this for my dining room.

They sell stuff from local designers as well!

I want these chairs! Ah!

Dammit, Jared...  I love you!

If you live in MA, you need to go here.

Check it out and spread the word, friends.
